The mission of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center is to encourage, support and empower volunteers (and ourselves) to meet the needs of and make a difference in the Greater Baldwinsville Community.
Christmas Bureau
Through the generosity of the Baldwinsville community, families in need receive gifts for each family member, Christmas dinner and groceries for a week.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Through the generosity of the Baldwinsville community, families in need are given full Thanksgiving dinners.
Mentoring Program
Pairs adults and high school students with elementary students providing extra attention and support on a weekly schedule.
Vision Services Referrals
Coordinates with the Baldwinsville School District, Lions Club and Malara Eyecare to provide services for students who need eye care and meet income requirements.
Household Essentials for Living Pantry (H.E.L.P.)
Businesses, local agencies and school and community groups “adopt” a month and provide household products (cleaning supplies, paper products, soaps, etc.) that are necessary but not often provided by our local food pantry.
Blankets for Seniors
Local volunteers knit, crochet, or quilt lap robes which are then distributed to local seniors in need.
Teen Volunteer Scholarship
$1000 scholarship given to a graduating senior who has shown a dedication to our community through volunteering.
Outstanding Volunteer of the Year
Each year, nominations are requested from the community, local businesses, and agencies for those from Baldwinsville who exemplify volunteerism. At our annual Awards Dinner, we recognize the winners' accomplishments, present them with a gift and our state representatives award them with decrees.
