Adopt a Stretch of River or Lake Shoreline
|

Volunteers are needed to help stop the spread of nuisance weeds on our local rivers and lakes. Trained volunteers adopt a stretch of Oneida Lake, Onondaga Lake or Seneca River shoreline. Volunteers monitor their adopted shoreline for invasive weeds like water chestnut and frog bit. This is a fun way to combine your time on the water this summer with protecting your local environment. Call Cornell Cooperative Extension for details: (315) 424-9485 ext. 234.
