Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse Tutors Needed

Tutor training workshops will begin in January for those interested in becoming a tutor for Literacy Volunteers.  Volunteer tutors are trained to work either one-on-one or with a small group of adults living in Onondaga County who need help with reading, writing, speaking and/or understanding English.  For more info, please call Robyn Smith at 471-1300.

Volunteer Support Caregiver

Neighborhood Advisory Council

Participate in monthly meetings of PEACE,Inc. Family Resource West’s advisory body.  The NAC oversees and assists the Center in it’s mission and operations.  NAC members are also required to serve on one committee per year.  Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 12:00-1:00 p.m.  Contact Alicia Manor or Joanne Wynnings at 638-1051.

Treasure Go ‘Round Sorter

The Treasure Go ‘Round at PEACE,Inc. needs volunteers to sort through clothing and household items, hang and display as needed and assist donors with carrying items, if able.
